Meet Dr. Karlin

It is my goal to provide the best, highest quality orthodontic treatment to my patients of all ages in a gentle, caring manner. My warmth and sense of humor help to create an atmosphere for families that is inviting and fun. I take the time to get to know each patient and family, and I truly care about improving their lives by creating smiles that will enhance their appearance, confidence, and overall self-esteem. I am dedicated to personalized care and have distinguished myself in the field of orthodontics by providing care that is second to none.

Education

Continuing Education

I continually strive to be at the forefront of contemporary orthodontics, and I use my academic, teaching, and clinical background in order to bring the latest and most advanced technologies to my patients in order  to ensure that they receive the highest quality of orthodontic treatment in a  comfortable and timely manner.  I obtained my board certification in orthodontics and dentofacial orthopedics, a distinction held by only a small percentage of all practicing orthodontists today.

In the Dental Community

I have completed an orthodontic externship at the Montefiore Medical Center and Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and my research has been published in the Journal of Dental Research. I am currently the Chief of Orthodontics at the Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, where I provide instruction to the dental residents in orthodontic diagnosis, treatment planning, and comprehensive care.

Awards and Affiliations

Outside the Office

I sponsor numerous sports teams in baseball, gymnastics, volleyball, swimming, basketball, and cheerleading, just to name a few.  I also support numerous dance troupes and school clubs.  I have participated in various functions for religious organizations and schools, as well as for several charities.  I live in Manalapan with my wife, Dana, and our two children, Zachary and Alexis. When not treating patients, I enjoy spending time with my family, playing the piano, and sporadically trying to learn how to play golf, as all dentists are supposed to do!  As a current Monmouth County resident and former Middlesex County resident, I am grateful for the opportunity to provide orthodontic care in the communities in which I am personally involved.
